Dog gets 2^nd Chance at Life with Naturally Regenerated Kidneys

I wanted to share this wonderful, uplifting story with all of our pet loving readers. We met Petey, a 10 year old Italian Greyhound, a few months ago. His owner walked in, very distraught and said her vet gave her beloved dog, Petey less than 30 days to live as his kidneys had failed. As a last resort she decided to see if a natural, holistic approach might be helpful.

Petey was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure on September 26, 2015 and give less than 30 days to live. With a home-made diet, fluids, vitamins and natural supplements, 8 weeks later, Petey’s mom got a great surprise.

In less than 9 weeks, Petey’s kidney failure is nearly fully reversed.

His BUN, or the Blood Urea Nitrogen, a crude reflection of how the diet affects kidney function went from 53 to 47. His Creatinine which is the very sensitive indicator of kidney function where increments of a tenth of a point are significant went from 4.4 to 2.2 and his phosphorus a detrimental factor for kidneys started at 6.8 and now is 4.2[4.0 being ideal] Initially his values were nearly incompatible with life. Today they are close to normal. Even his liver is doing better with an initial Alkaline Phosphatase of 423, which so far has dropped to 317. Petey’s protocol will continue until all his values have returned to normal.

Needless to say Petey will not be going anywhere just yet, as his good health has been restored. Petey’s mom is now looking forward to enjoying many, more happy, healthy years together.
