Question
Dr. Carol,
I just got on the net to see if there was something else to help my cat Romeo with his arthritis. He has been diabetic for almost 8 yrs. He Was hit by a car when he was younger and he now has arthritis in his hips. Romeo is now 16. We tried small doses of steroids, but that did not help. We couldn’t use higher doses due to interactions with insulin. Aspirin wasn’t strong enough. He is now on Medicam. Not only is one drop not enough, but my vet said this medication will kill him.
I will try anything before putting him down. He has been fully x-rayed And everything looks good. He is just very still in the back legs when he walks.
If you think this PAAWS supplement will help, is it possible to get one bottle to try? I live in Ontario, Canada, but see other clients on your site from Canada. Please advise me how to go about getting a bottle.
Thank you very much!

Answer
Dear Paula,
I can help you with your cat and am glad to.
I would recommend VitaLife and Dr Carol’s Hip & Joint Support for your cat.
The VitaLife has worked very well for many diabetic cats and also helps stabilize blood sugar levels. When combined with the Hip & Joint Support, it will greatly help his arthritis and once you get him started you will be able to stop the Meticalm.
I look forward to working with you.
Thank you,
Dr. Carol

Dr. Carol,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I am anxious to see how Romeo responds to your VitaLife and Hip & Joint supplements. He is still so alert and happy. I think if he wasn’t in pain, he could be around for a long time to come. I have attached a photo of him.
I also have been thinking about Oscar since speaking with you today. I May take him to another vet for a second opinion on his dental health. I haven’t questioned my vet’s opinion for many years. I will speak to my vet first to find out what he called the dental problems. He said it was well beyond gingivitis.
I will being seeing my vet tomorrow so will go from there (having a Rescue fixed, and Depo-Provera shot for another cat who likes to spray!
I won’t be keeping any more male rescues. Six of my ten cats are neutered males and a few spray! Will be in touch.
ps – very impressed with your credentials. I should rent a van and drive down with 10 new patients!!
