Spicy Turkey and Egg Breakfast Patties (Dogs)

1 ¼ lbs ground turkey
¼ cup chopped fresh basil leaves
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
1 clove garlic
1 tsp salt
½ tsp dried thyme leaves
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp dried red pepper flakes, crushed
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tbsp dried bread crumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Combine all ingredients with the exception of vegetable oil in a large bowl. Stir to blend, but do not over mix. Cover and refrigerate for one hour. Shape the mixture into 12 patties, that are about 2-3″ in diameter. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet and carefully place the patties in the oil. Brown the patties for about two minutes on each side and reduce heat to low/medium. Continue cooking patties, turning regularly for about six minutes or until they are crisp and cooked through. Allow the patties to cool before feeding to your pet. Store left-overs in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freeze.

Frosty Fruity Delight (Cats)

2 tbsp organic yogurt
1 tbsp raw cut oats
½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
2 ounces fresh berries, mashed
½ mashed banana
¼ minced apple

Stir the raw oats together with mashed banana. In a blender, add the oat / banana mixture, apples, orange juice, and yogurt. Blend together for a few seconds and then add berries. This smooth breakfast can be served immediately. As a treat, this frosty concoction can also be frozen in ice cube trays and one cube a day be served up to keep your kitty feeling like she’s receiving the royalty treatment.
